Sacsayhuáman: We went to see some amazing Inca ruins with Claudia and my fabulous cousins Carole and Steve who were visiting from Brooklyn. Unfortunately, Claudia´s boyfriend, Juan Carlos, who was driving, had to wait in the car for us while we went exploring the incredible site. Luckily, we happened upon an excellent tour guide who taught us a ton about the stones and the significance of the site, at the center of the Inca empire, where the last battle between the Spaniards and the Incas was fought for control over the city of Cusco.
Only 15% of the ruins still stand.
